Thursday 9.30.10 Paul Clipson & Portraits @SFMOMA

A special presentation by Paul Clipson, part screening part live score performance event.  The program includes live performances by Jefre Cantu-Ledesma and Portraits, and screenings of films scored by Gregg Kowalsky, Tarantel, and Cantu.  Portraits this time will include guitars, bass clarinet, violins, harmoniums, voices, prepared piano, and gong.

If you don’t know Paul’s work you should check it out here: some of the most hauntingly beautiful in-camera processing on Super-8 films, often abstract, but recently he’s been working with figures more and more.
